Fresh particulars have surfaced about the untimely deaths of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

The Alarm

A source indicates referencing a confidential source, a therapist scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the residence. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

After gaining access to the house, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Another individual who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Correcting the Record

The person close to the family also disputed several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the property, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that moment.
