I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
