Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have announced that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – including some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the forty-five sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
